We are proud to offer our community a state of the art indoor aquatic facility serving children from the age of 4 months. By combining our extensive research with an excellent design team, we were able to incorporate the best practices of both design, and methodology. We are also proud members of the United States Swimming School Association and Safer3. We are very excited to offer our community a local swimming school.

Coach Nick taught my boys to swim after years of off and on lessons at every other place in Houston. The difference here was that Coach Nick let them test and improve their abilities every day instead of coddling them or scaring them. Most importantly he made it fun so they actually worked hard for him. Pengu always has two lifeguards watching the whole pool at all times in addition to all the swim teachers in the pool. That was not the case at other places we’ve had lessons. I love the extra attention to safety here and the incentives they give kids like accomplishment ribbons or ringing the bell when they reach milestones. This is the first place we’ve swam where my kids are excited instead of fighting me every time we have a lesson.

Our 2.5 yr. old took a Spring Break clinic here and LOVED his swim lessons with Coach Nick. In 5 lessons, he learned how to hold his breath and swim to safety (5 ft.). I could see my son at all times and also how vigilant both his instructor and the lifeguard were during the whole lesson.
I was so impressed by the set up and the amenities. It's clean, has calm vibes, ample changing rooms & bathrooms, and showers next to the pool. Pro tip: bring baby soap to wash off all the chlorine during their post-swim rinse. There are also hair dryers and a device that wrings all the water out of bathing suits.
They even have a small play area inside as well as a green space outside where you can watch your kids swim from through the sliding garage doors.
Overall, such a great experience. Highly recommend!

We started our 3 year old at Pengu a little over a month ago. She had very little swim experience and could/would only swim with floaties on. We have absolutely loved Pengu and have seen an extraordinary improvement during the short time she’s been there. She can hold her breath, swim back and forth to my husband and I, get in and out of the pool via the ledge by herself, back float, jump in the pool, etc. They know exactly what to do there! Coach Diana is so amazing! My daughter is absolutely in love with her. Whenever we swim together now, she’ll tell me “Coach Diana does it like this, Coach Diana taught me this, etc.” Pengu is the highlight of her week. I wish we started her there sooner!
